The Baroque styled middle section of the building was built by Earl Frigyes Schiedegg in 1753.
Earl Ferenc Szechenyi bought the mansion in 1796 and it remained in the family's property until 1945.
From 1945 is was a Russian lager, later on it housed offices.
The building was renovated in 2009 and it currently operates as a hostel.
The hall is adequate for organising conferences and weddings.
In the surroundings you can find fishing pond, stables, motocross track and thermal spa.
The historic town of Sopron, the Szechenyi Castle of Nagycenk, the Eszterhazi Castle in Fertod and the Ferto region, which is part of the World Heritage are easy to reach from the mansion.
