Garan Guest House - Jósvafő (Northern Hungary)

3758 Jósvafő, Petőfi Sándor út 41.

The Garan Guest House Jósvafő is a picturesque village of almost four hundred inhabitants at the centre of the Aggtelek National Park. Straddling the National Blue Tour footpath, and with the Baradla Caves - a World Heritage site - close bye, it nestles among the hills of north-eastern Hungary in Borsod-Abaúj-Zemplén County, bordering Slovakia. There are around three hundred caves of various sizes in the area, from which the 25 km long Baradla Caves are the most impressive. At the edge of the village, the Béke Caves provide a venue for an asthma sanatorium. Guests will be welcomed on various cave tours (of differing lengths and levels of adventure) as well as at cave concerts. In the valley of streams and caves, visitors can enjoy the many trails, by pony trekking, in horse-drawn carriages, or by using rent-a-bikes, available in the village. The Garan Guesthouse (awarded ’three sunflowers’ status) is located at the centre of Jósvafő. Four rooms, each with a colour TV and satellite connection, offer a comfortable recreation area for 10-12 people. There are en-suite toilette and shower facilities in one room and common facilities for the other rooms as well as a fully equipped kitchen. The garden has an area for barbecues and also for parking. You will find a warm welcome at the Garan Guesthouse. Postal address: 41, Petőfi Sándor Street Jósvafő 3758 Hungary Telephone: (36) 48/343-165 Mobil Phone: (36) 06-30/389-8045
