You must have heard of the Lake of Hévíz, also referred to as the ”magic lake”.


The lake of 4.4 hectares is the largest warm-water lake in the world suitable for bathing, which rightfully aims for being a World Heritage site in the future. The turf in the bottom of the lake has evolved during many thousand years, similar to the water it has valuable medical properties too. The lake is fed by warm and cold springs located in an underwater cave, 38 metres below the surface. Water temperature varies between 24 and 38 degree Celsius, depending on the seasons and the actual weather. It is a unique experience to have a dip in the steaming warm water during foggy and cold winter days. The greenery, the Mediterranean climate, the silky touch and the gentle massage of the water, the tiny bubbles and the wonderful many-coloured water-lilies on the water surface will definitely make your stay unforgettable.

Kis Helikon**** Residence Hotel is located in the „cure district” of Hévíz a little bit hidden, not showing off at all, set in a quiet environment, only 5-8 minute walking distance from the lake.

The hotel was built in 1936 (following local traditions it is made of stone extracted in the surroundings of Hévíz) and while its original form was preserved it was completely renovated in the past few years. You find 70-80-year old linden-trees in the protected ancient park with its unique climate surrounding the building.

The unobrusive elegance of the 17 rooms will surely satisfy all comfort requirements, the mainly oak furniture is in accordance with the character of the building and reflects individual atmosphere. The „classic” rooms are equipped with phone, TV and minibar (on request).

Resulting from the properties of the building we can offer “superior” rooms in various forms: room with balcony, room with air-conditioning, or room with both. (cost of air-conditioning is not included in the room rate, and extra charge is payable). 

In case of booking „superior” rooms unlimited use of the wellness section is included (with free use of bathrobe), so you will be surely rejuvenated and satisfied when leaving for home.
Wellness services: sauna, jacuzzi, hydromassage and steam cabin, fitness machine, fitness cycle. At arrival a surprise gift (fruits) is offered to the guests. The minibar is filled up with juice and mineral water as refreshment.
