We welcome all religous and nonreligios guests and groups the whole year.We offer cheap lodgemet in 1-5 bed rooms for groups and the youth also.The hotel has two conference halls which are well equipped and are ideal for giving lectures.The hotel lays in a peaceful enviroment in the near of the two stored Church of Máriabesnyõ and the Gassalkovich castle. The hotel has a closed parkplace and outside teritories for playing and wondering in nature. Mater Salvatoris Retreat House "Don`t suppress the soul" The Retreat House is an instrument in God`s hand, to bring fruit of the soul in the Church, in the mysterious flesh of Christ. The building had originally the same purpose as it was planned in 1932. To be the education house of Salvator novices. The stately and practical joint of building was erected on a hill-side near the church and convent of Capuchin fathers. It was secularised in the fifties and here had been working the gramma-school of the town for years until 1987. For several years after that, the building was empty, until the Salvator sisters got it back in January 1993 and the reconstruction, as well as the renewal of the building could be started according to the agreement with the episcopacy. It was blessed again in 1993 on the occasion of the autumnal meeting of the Episcopal conference and the Retreat House began its work again. The peaceful surrounding of the hills in Mariabesnyõ, the neighbourship of the Salvator sisters and Capuchin fathers, the reflections of the Maria shrine in Besnyõ give a miraculous opportunity for the rebirth of soul and for being deepened in God. Last year many visitors found here peace of their soul, strengthened their connection with God, got to know what their mission really was or were participant in a refresher course concerning their profession, to be able to serve more effectual the collectivity. Thanks be to God, the Hungarian Church became wealthier with new establishment promising for many an unbroken renewal of the soul and the deepening in God. Characteristics of the Retreat House It is very easy to reach along the road No. 30 on the motor-highway M3 and along the railway to Miskolc only 30 kilometres away from Budapest in a green area. The visitors are welcomed in single to five bedrooms with full board, there are a big lecturehall for 180 persons and two smaller ones and a chapel Altogether 80 overnight guests can stay there at the same time but even small groups can use the rooms independently of each other. If necessary there is a possibility for 120 younger ones to stay there. The peaceful sacred surrounding makes it possible to retire into seclusion but even to be engrossed in a professional work. The House is open for all programs, organisations, or classical refresher courses whose aim and character are not counter to the doctrine and constitution of the Catholic Church. Certainly it was built above all for religious exercises, but the House gives readily place for courses which raises the value of human being, for extension training of teachers, teachers of religion, of psychological, sanitary, mentalhygiene, homeopathic courses etc. But the Retreat house has its own programs as well or make room for programs which are organised from outside. Its own religious exercises are announced in the Catholic press for groups (elderly people, couples, divorced, youth, intellectual class, members of parishes etc.) which have different interests, states, are of different age. In case of organisation from outside for 15-20 persons, whether it is for religious exercises or for training courses using the facilities given by the House, offers the House readily its services- if there is a free capacity -. As the House serves as means how to rely upon the Church of God and to add to the value of human being, we await therefore with pleasure all the native and foreign visitors. We try to keep our prices very low - being our aim a duty - but we are forced to charge the production price which is equal to the current economical situation because the establishment has to keep up itself. (we don`t get any regular support from outside) Concerning the programs the House is working in a half year period, therefore it is advisable to apply in time on phone, in letter or per fax for an announced program as well as for an organisation from outside. Even two-three weeks before the planned date it is worth to ask about the programs especially in case of smaller groups because sometimes programs are called off or postponed. It is due to the fortunate situation of the House that inside of its closed area even 40 cars can have a parking place, and those who are coming from far away can leave their car there safely.
