Pear Cottage

Our guesthouse is located in a very peaceful setting of the village Ganna.
Ganna lies at the western foot of the Bakony mountains, 13 km from the town of Pápa.

Built almost hundred years ago, this is an authenthic village house with a patio and wooden ceiling.The house went through several renovations during its history among which the latest was aimed to preserve as much as possible from the original structure and materials, but meanwhile providing the comfort and facilities of the present age.

The house is surrounded by a 2000 sqm garden which is mainly grass-covered with some plum-, cherry-, apple-, and pear trees in the back as well as a huge walnut tree. Behind the estate on the hilly meadow, horses meander and somewhat further the brook named Bittva wimples.

The cottage got its name from the old pear tree which stands before the kitchen entrance which is a gem of the garden.

Most notable among of the many sights in the vicinity are the Mausoleum of the noble Eszterházy family in Ganna, and the castle ruins of Szarvaskő(Deer-rock) which is whithin walking distance.

Prices, offers

The two parts of the cottage can be booked separately:
Old house : 4-7 adults + optional mobile bed + optional baby bed
Apartman : 2-4 adults + optional mobile bed + optional baby bed

Prices all year round ( except public holidays) :
16 EUR/person/night
Minimal price for apartman : 40 EUR / night
Minimal price for Old house : 70 EUR / night

Discounts:

- above 6 persons : 14 EURO/person/night
- Free for all children under the age of 3
- Children aged 3 - 10 years : 8 EUR/person/night

Low season (Jan. 2. - Jun. 1. and Sept.1. - Dec. 21.) discounts during weekdays :
- 12 EUR/person/night

Price includes tax of tourism, bed linen, little towel, fire wood for grill, cleaning, water, electricity, heating ( excuding winter heater during stay ), other accessories of house. General conditions :
- Minimal booking period : 2 nights
- Minimal booking period in high season : 1 week - Christmas, New Year and other public holidays are subject to individual agreement
- Gas consumption for heating: to be paid occasionally according to the gas-meter
- Extra bed : 10 EUR

Other conditions:
- Exclusivity :  30 % extra for 5-6 persons for the Old Cottage ! (In case there is no previous booking made for the Apartman) Exclusivity for the Apartman is not possible.
- Any booking is secured by paying a deposit: This is 25% of the expected cost of stay made by bank transfer, according to e-mail or fax confirmation (in case of cancellation 21 days before arrival the deposit is reimbursed )
- Booking is confirmed through e-mail or fax.
