Kulacs Tavern and Pension

 Kulacs Csárda Panzió is located in Eger, in the heart of Szépasszonyvölgy, famous for its several wine cellars carved in tufa stone. Thanks to its truly Hungarian flavours and quality wines, our cellar entertainment place, which was opened in 1986, has been visited by more and more people over the years. As a result, we have had to extend it by adding more and more cellar wings. Our cellar, evoking an historical atmosphere, seats 350 people. Its five arched halls are air-conditioned, are tastefully furnished in a traditional way, and are wonderfully suitable for the cultured serving of individual and groups of guests. From spring until autumn, our guests can taste our fish, game and poultry, as well as our Hungarian specialities, in our garden area seating 150, covered with vine arbour, a unique phenomenon in the whole country. In addition to the wide range of the products of the best wine-makers of the Eger wine region, our guests can also taste our home-made quality wines as well. The relaxed mood of the guests is guaranteed by the six-member gypsy band of the csárda. In the spring of 2002, we also added a three-star pension to our csárda. With nine air-conditioned rooms, equipped with bathrooms and furnished with quality furniture, we look forward to greeting our guests. We also have a suite with TV, mini bar, fireplace, and shared mini kitchen facilities. Parking is provided in our own, guarded parking lot. We hope that the time spent here provides our guests unforgettable memories and brings them back. We welcome you with pleasure, be our guest! Our programmes: Wine tasting lunch or dinner; Goulash party; folklore programme; Hungarian folk melody singer; peasant wedding; grape-picking merry-making; wine-knight inauguration. We also undertake the organisation of events, weddings, banquets, receptions and conference evenings. Location: located some 2 kilometres from the historical inner city, in the centre of Szépasszonyvölgy. Rooms: Our rooms have jointed wooden flooring, wood-beam ceilings, and are furnished with high-quality, carved oak furniture. The rooms are individually controlled air-conditioned, and have separate bathrooms. Stereo and television, on request mini-bar and room service serve our guests’ comfort. Spare beds (1-2) can be added to all the rooms. Services: Parking is provided in our own, guarded parking lot. Services include: restaurant – wine bar, garden area, grilling on the skewer, cooking in a cauldron, special event room, safe, public card telephone, possibility to pay with any kind of bank card.
