Igal, a lovely village in Somogy County, is situated between Lake Balaton (40 km away) and the capital of the County, Kaposvár (25 km away). Having a unique healing effect, the local thermal bath has brought Europe-wide fame to Igal. The thermal spring with alcalichloride and hydrogen-carbonate content belongs - by virtue of its iodide-ion contents - to the group of iodic medicinal waters. Owing to this characteristic it can be applied successfully in the treatment of rheumatic diseases, circulatory disturbances, arthropathy, myelopathy as well as chronic gynaecological diseases. The bath provides medical care and supervision to the guests in order to ensure a fast recovery. Igal`s most appealing hotel, the 30-room Termál Panzió is a mere 350 yards from the bath. All rooms have en-suite bathrooms and are equipped with telephone, colour TV and radio. The guests are welcome to spend pleasant hours in the restaurant, in the bar or in the billiard room. We have a tennis court and bicycles for hire and the receptionist will assist you in organising horse-riding and traditional cart-tours.
